About Andy Williams
Howard Andrew "Andy" Williams (December 3, 1927 – September 25, 2012) was an American singer, best-known for performing the song Moon River, and hosting The Andy Williams Show, a TV variety show, from 1962 to 1971.
Williams was born in Wall Lake, Iowa to Florence (née Finley) and Jay Emerson Williams, a railway clerk. He has three older brothers: Robert, Donald, and Richard.
Williams married dancer, French-born Claudine Longet, on December 15, 1961. They has three children: Noelle, Christian, and Robert. After a lengthy separation, Williams and Longet divorced in 1975.
On May 3, 1991, Williams married a second time to Debbie Meyer, whom he met through a mutual friend.
He died on September 25, 2012, at the age of 84, after a year-long battle with bladder cancer.
