Despite "Wikipedia" and other sources, his name was Angelo John Poffo, not John Angelo Poffo. He was a pro-Wrestler and the father of Macho Man Randy Savage and Leaping Lanny also known as "The Genius" also both professional wrestlers.

Angelo Poffo was also a pharmacist mate while serving the US Navy. He broke the record for the most consecutive sit-ups and was rewarded with a belt by Ripley's Believe It or Not.
