According to Angie's death certificate her parents were J. N. Green and Allie Bass. She was born near Longview, TX. She first married Allen Taylor Rowe in 1877 in Marshall, Harrison Co., TX. They had eight children. In or about 1898 Allen was killed but I have no details about the murder of Allen. Family history says that Allen was a lawman and was murdered doing his job. CHOCTAW NATION MARRIAGES GROOM INDEX 1895 - 1907 show Angie married J. W. Carnahan on April 8, 1900 in Coalgate, OK. Angie and James had two sons. Angie and James were shown as living in Grady Co., OK in the 1930 census. Angie was a housewife and one descendant said it was heaven to sleep in her feather beds.
4/7/1932- Tuttle Times: Mrs J.W. Carnahan died Thursday morning at the family home in Tuttle, of pneumonia. She took sick the first part of the week. Funeral arrangements had not been made as we go to press.
4/14/1932: Mrs Augie Green Carnahan was born 1/13/1862 near Longview, TX and died at her home in the south part of town 4/7/1932. She was married to A.T. Rowe at the age of 15 years and moved to Indian territory in 1879. They had 9 children, 7 of whom are still living. A.T. Rowe departed this life 3/28/1896. On 4/8/1899, she married J.W. Carnahan and they had 2 children. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ with Rev Will M. Thompson. Interment was at Fairview cemetery. Pallbearers were Mrs C.M. Duckwall, Mrs George Higgins, Mrs Turner Cochran, Mrs Chas Snyder, Mrs Bernice Rieder, & Mrs Grant Hughes. She leaves to mourn for her, her husband, J.W. Carnahan, G.M. Rowe of Roswell, NM, Clyde F. Rowe of Tucson, AZ, W.A. Carnahan of Waco, TX, Paul Carnahan of Hinton, OK, Mrs Chas Willwock of Washington D.C., & Mrs Wm Powell of Tuttle, sisters, Mrs J.P. Gentry of Duncan, OK, Mrs G.W. Davenport of Duncan, all of whom were present at the funeral except Mrs Chas Willwock.
