Alex, “Sandy the Hill,” was a respected citizen. He was a noted trapper in his younger days, and he often outfoxed the most foxey foxes! He married Mary, daughter of John McKenzie (Hector), Christmas Island. No issue.

His second wife was Margaret, daughter of Angus McDonald (Red), Big Pond. Issue: — Dan, Stephen, Dan Joe, Angus, Mary Ann, and Katie.

Angus is in the employment of the C.N.R. as bridge tender. He is married to a daughter of Murdock McNeil (Eoin), Barra Glen.

Murdock (Eoin), a competent shoemaker, married Mary (Neil) Campbell, Jamesville West (see 308). They lived in Barra Glen and their family: Francis, Rory Joseph, Mary Jane, Katie Ann, and five other girls who went to the United States. 7

Mary Jane married Angus MacNeil, Bridge-tender, Grand Narrows, lived in Grand Narrows, and had no family.
