John (Iain Mac Iain Oig) was a shipwright. He sailed extensively in foreign seas and visited India and other eastern countries. He settled at Benacadie East, and married Sarah, daughter of Rory McNeil (Malcolm).

Issue: — Mary Ann, Rory, Katie, Elizabeth, Angus, Gussie Archie, and John Norman.

When young Angus went to sea, and became a captain, he married Christie, daughter of Angus McNeil (Postman), Middle Cape. At first, he settled at Benacadie East, and from there he went to Glace Bay, where he became a successful business man. He has a family.
