Ann Aubrey

Sir Reginald Aubrey, the first of the line in
Wales, was a son of Saint Aubrey of the Blood Royal
of France, who came to England with William the Conqueror in 1066. Through the Aubrey line, we are de-
scended from the ancient Kings of Wales and France.
His descendant, Sir Richard, sold Aberkynrigg to Dr.
William Aubrey. Richard's son, Richard, by marrying
Anne Vaughn became, in right of his wife, Lord of the
Manor of Llanelyw, as she was co-heiress of the manor
with her father, Sir William Vaughn.
