Death.— The death took place on Sunday of Mrs. Jessie Ashe, relict of the late Mr. Alfred Ashe, of Smithfield, at the age of 67 years, She had been residing with her married daughter, Mrs. R. H. Newlind, at Liverpool-road, Cabramatta, where she died. Deceased was mother-in-law to Alderman J. E. Anthony (Mayor of Smithfield and Fairfield). Her family of sons and daughters was reared at Smithfield, where she was widely known and highly respected. The funeral took place on Tuesday, the remains being laid to rest in the Church of England cemetery , Smithfield.
