Ann (Williams) Fish

Ann's life up to the time she married Rodolphus had been pretty tragic. She married Henry Oliver Williams (1825-1869) on 4/15/1853 and they had three children: Martha, born in 1854, Charles C., born in 1856, who died when he was two and Charles Oliver, born in 1865, who died when he was one. Ann's husband Henry died three years later, in 1869, followed in the next year by her 16 year-old daughter Martha (called 'Mattie'.)

Her 2nd husband, the widower Rodolphus Fish, 14 years older than she, had also lost three children in the 1830s and 1840s: a daughter Eliza who lived only one day in 1835; a son Ebenezer who lived two months in 1843; and a daughter, Mary Elizabeth, born in October 1846, who lived eight months.

After their marriage in 1872, they had only three years together before he died, leaving her a widow for the 2nd time.
