"You will also know that Hewling (various spellings) is a Ferring name in 17th C. Will Harling acquired 12.5 acres through his wife Martha Watersfield in 1651. Your transcript of the 1647 Manor Survey shows that it was owned by Will Holden in 1699.Sold to Richard Turner in 1703."
RWS - obviously this was land held from the Bishop of Chichester, and so nothing to do with Angmering lands owned by Palmer-Bishopp, but the person HEWLING may have occupied both farms and so they acquired his name]
