"Eliza's (Eliza Ann Lee (Bobbitt)) husband David (Lee) died july 1876 so both Galen and Sarah were very young. Eliza married (again in )1881(2)Isaac Whitson, who was killed in an accident a few years later; she then married (again in )1887 (3)John C. Owens who must have helped raise her family. John Owens gives consent on Sarah Lee and Ulysses Welborn's marrage doc. Possibly the same Cpl John C. Owens buried in Gilmore cemetery near Eliza. David was married once before to Anna (Nannie) Gilmore both David and Anna are buried near each other in Gilmore cemetery. source- grandaughter of Galen W.
