In 1643, Andrew Lynn gave investment in his Ayrshire properties “to Ann Blair, his future spouse, daughter of Gavin Blair of Auldmuir”. [James Paterson’s “History of the Counties of Ayr and Wigton”, vol. III, Edinburgh (1866); pp. 184-6 (esp. 186)].
“Mr ...” or “Master Gavin Blair of Auldmuir” was a party to, or otherwise mentioned in, documents dated 15 Jan 1622, 8 Dec 1828, and 2 May 1667.
