About Ann Elizabeth Roper
Ann Elizabeth Roper (4 April 1837 - 24 September 1873), daughter of Esther Jones (7 January 1814 Surry County, North Carolina - 6 October 1898 Ogden, Weber County, Utah, United States) and her first husband, Robert Roper, came to Utah with her mother in the Daniel Spencer/Ira Eldredge Company in 1847; she was ten years of age.
Following the death of Ann's father, her mother married James Brown, with whom she had five additional children.
