Anna Mary Alger

There are two other photos of Anna Mary Barnhurst Alger under the Media Tab above, one showing her and her husband John Zera Alger, Sr., and their children: Minnie, John, Jr., Sadie, Olive, and Grant, who died at age 8 months, and then they had Netina and Eva, who are not pictured in this photo, and another photo of her with one child who was edited out of the photo. However, on Find A Grave.com, the daughter who was edited out of the photo appears to be Ada Alger Holt, born January 2, 1888, in Huntington, Emery County, Utah, and died March 6, 1919, in Enterprise, Washington County, Utah.

Anna was the daughter of Samuel Barnhurst and Anna Marie Jensen, and she married John Zera Alger Sr. on April 16, 1876, in St. George, Utah. Their children: Mary Ellen, John Zera Jr., Sara Ann, Ada, James Grant, Addie Olivia, Jane Elizabeth, Netina Priscilla and Eva Pearl Alger.

ANNA M.B. ALGER

ENTERPRISE, Washington County- Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Barnhurst Alger, 86, were conducted in Enterprise L.D.S. ward chapel Friday by Arthur Barlacker, bishop.

Surviving are one son, John Z. Alger Jr., Enterprise, and four daughters, Mrs. Mary Ellen Oakden of Sacramento, Cal.; Mrs. Sara Ann Hunt of Irvins, Mrs. Addie Olivia Truman of Fallon, Nev., and Mrs. Haven Paxman of Washington, besides numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
