Winona Republican-Herald, page 3, May 19, 1951 Death of Mrs. Anna Bronk

  Mrs. Anna Bronk, 86, 270 Mankato avenue, died at 5:55 a.m. today at her home. Death was due to the infirmities of age. Mrs. Bronk was born August 30, 1864, in Poland, and came to this country in 1865 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Fischer who settled on a homestead near Pine Creek, Wis. She was married to John Bronk in 1880, and lived on a farm in Trout Run Valley near Pine Creek for nine years, moving to Winona in 1889. She was a member of the Holy Rosary and Sacred Heart societies of St. Stanislaus church. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Hamerski, Winona, and Celia, at home; three sons, Frank, Jamestown, N.D., and Valentine and Leon, at home; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and one brother, August J. Fischer. Her husband died in 1931 and a son Joseph in 1938. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Stanislaus church, the Rev. N.F. Grulkowski officiating. Preliminary services will be at the Watkowski funeral home at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. The rosary will be said at the funeral home Sunday and Monday at 7:30 p.m., Father Grulkowski leading the rosary Sunday evening. Members of the societies will say the rosary Sunday at 6:45 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday and Monday after 2 p.m.
