Her grandchild, priest Thor Frette, wrote this about Anna Eielsdatter: "...my grandmother, her name was Anna Eielsdatter and came from the big farm Eg near Kristianssand, she was sister of Ole Eielsen Eg, who in his time was one of Hauge's (Hans Nielsen Hauge) trusted friends, and helped print texts written by him during his time in prison. My grandmother therefore spent much time with Hauge in her childhood home - and he was a big influence on her religious life, a influence that has passed down though the family to the present day."
Anna received Hans Nielsen Hauge's baptism hat while she was young.
About the farm Eg in Kristiansand (from Wikipedia): "In the old farmland at Eg there's been discovered ruins from houses and two large tombs from the bronze and iron age. Modern day archaeological excavations discovered that the tombs has been plundered in older times. The farm Eg were one of the largest in Vest-Agder until it was demolished to give room for the Vest-Agder hospital. When Kristiansand was founded in 1641, it happened by King Kristian IV buying Sanden (later called Kvadratruten) and the forest areas north of the farm Eg."
