Anna Hofmann

Obituary: Albany, Stearns, Minnesota, unidentified newspaper, June 1923

On Wednesday evening occurred the death of Mrs. Anna Hofmann, wife of the late Joseph Hofmann of this Village, after an illness of almost a year. Deceased had been well prepared with the rites of the Catholic church and all of her children were at her bedside when the end came. The funeral will be held tomorrow, Friday morning after a Requiem Mass at the Seven Dolors church at 9:30 o'clock and will be held under the auspices of the Christian Mothers Society, of which she was a member for many years. Mrs. Anna Hofmann [Auer] was 55 years of age and was born at Albany on Dec. 25, 1867. She has spent her entire life in and around Albany. She was married to Joseph Hofmann 29 years ago [sic]. Mr. Hofmann preceded her in death nine years ago. Their union was blessed with 13 children of whom 10 are living to mourn the loss of their loving mother. They are Frank, Benedict, Ludwig, Domnick and Berthold Hofmann and Mrs. Anna Pratchner of Albany, Mrs. Sophia Lenarz, Andrew and Rudolph of St. Cloud and Leo Hofmann of [Nebraska].
