About Anna Johnson
GEDCOM Note
Anna was a strong woman very bossy. Ruled the family. It was said she and Henry did not speak for several years untill he become ill than they started to talk again. After she moved from the farm she bought a house in Malmo where she lived untill her death. she gave this house to her daughter-in-law Ingrid of whom she was very fond being unhappy with her son Emil for his ways. Ingrid rented this house out until she decided to sell it in about 1943. Anna was a very heavy set woman in her later years when she came to the United states she brought ever a spinning wheel which she used as her family grew up,she gave this spinning wheel to Ingrid too and she used it to spin yarn on from wool. After she left Emil it was left in an upstairs room, broken, one day when a granddaughter was helping clean his house she found it upstairs and asked him what he was going to do with it and he said throw it out so Irene the granddaughter asked if she could have it and he said yes, so she picked it up in a gunny sack and took it home years later a freind offered to restore it, his name was Jim Nelson. Irene still has this spinning wheel. It is now in the home of her daughter Judy Payne. In 1968 Irene and her husband Harold went to Harrisburg to visit a son of Henry and Anna Erudy, Irene showed him a picture of the spinningwheel
