Notes and transciptions by Brian Margetson:
"Anna died 2nd May, 1951 in the Mater Dei Hospital, East London. She was unmarried and died age 80 years and 10 months. Her last address was 2 Church Lane, Uitenhage.
Made a note from the death notice that refers to a Susie ? and written in red pen on the death notice is:- "see note on query sheet 28/2/1952". There is nothing else in this file to help in deciphering what that could mean.
Will dated 12th February, 1951 and signed in Uitenhage.
From her will:- "I bequeath the couch in my dining room to Lawrence Hobson Jones." Sale of personal effects raised £100 plus cash in the estate £128.14.4 and other assets totalled £382.4.1 of which available for distribution was £187.14.8 to the Missionary Commission of the NGK.
A document refers to the estate of her brother, the late Gerhardus Stephanus Luyt JONES and a property over which Anna "enjoyed a right of habitation". This was valued at £1,000, to be divided between Lawrence Hobson Jones, Maud Lang, formerly Eedes, born Jones and Daphne Bruce born Jones."
