Anna Margaret was the daughter of Rebecca Seabrook Albert and Jacob Albert; wife of Rev. Theodore Benedict Lyman (Episcopal Bishop in North Carolina); and mother of several including Albert Lyman (a well-known physician and scholar), Fanny Lyman Cox (2nd wife of Wm Cox, a Civil War Confederate Brigadier General and US Congressman), William Whittingham Lyman (who built the Lyman winery, once owned the Bale Grist Mill and helped found the Grace Episcopal Church in St Helena), Theodore Benfedict Lyman Jr, Augustus Lyman and Roma Lyman Niles.
She was the sister of Augustus Albert (a wealthy Baltimore merchant); and William Albert (US Congressman from Maryland's 5th District).
Anna married Theodore B. Lyman in Baltimore on April 24, 1845. They moved several times within the USA and Europe, ending up in Raleigh, North Carolina, where they lived at 105 east North Street.
One of her grandsons was Major General Albert Lyman Cox. Another grandson Dr. Francis Augustus Cox, was a missonary to China.
The remains of Mrs. Lyman were taken from North Carolina by train to Union Station in Baltimore and imediately to Greenmount Cemetery for interment. The pallbearers were six nephews: Augustus J. Albert, Talbot J. Albert, Jacob Albert, Frank Albert, B.S. Albert and William J. Albert Bliss.
