Anna Marie Magdalena Rautenbach (1935 - 1998)

Anna Marie (63) and her husband Hendrik Christoffel Rautenbach (66) lived on a smallholding in Uitlught, Vereeniging. On 17th March 1998 they fell victim to a brutal double murder. Anna Marie was tied up in her bedroom and shot. Hendrik was beaten with a blunt object, then shot in the head. Police said it appeared that Mr Rautenbach and his wife were overpowered about 13.30.
