Anna M. Metzger

Anna M. Metzger, 89, Dover, Del., passed this life peacefully with family by her side on Monday, Aug. 22, 2011.
Mrs. Metzger was formerly of Frederica, Delaware, and Lititz, Pa., but for the last year and a half she was a resident of Emeritus at Dover (formerly Green Meadows).

Mrs. Metzger was born in Kempton, Pa., on Nov. 25, 1921, daughter of Elmer E. Henry and Alma (Kunkel) Henry.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 53 years, Harry F. Metzger in 1997.

She is survived by her son, Brian A. Metzger and his wife, Jane (Slade) Metzger, of Oxford, Miss.; her daughter, Judy M. Kaufman and husband, James E. Kaufman, of Smyrna, Del., and her beloved grandchildren, Wendy L. Kaufman of Louisville, Ky., and Kevin E. Kaufman of Davidson, N.C.

She is also survived by a niece, three nephews, cousins, and their families.

There will be a private viewing for her immediate family.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at 12 noon at Erb's Mennonite Church Cemetery, 567 West Lexington Road, Lititz, Pa. (1 1/2 miles west of Lititz just off of West Lincoln Ave.)
