Anna Otis

This profile is not in the 1924 genealogical study A Genealogical and Historical Memoir of the Otis Family in America by William A. Otis. However, this book has been found to be highly unreliable for information on the Otis family in England. The author does include a probable daughter Joan/Ann baptized 1 Dec 1612 and saying this person was the same as the Ann mentioned in John Otis' will in 1657.

However, the NEHGS AmericanAncestors.org: Great Migration: Immigrants to New England, 1634-1635, Volume V, M-P Page(s): 324 states that this has not been proven by any other source, and there was a child Johanna buried in 1612. Instead, they include a daughter Anna born after the family moved from Glastonbury but before they immigrated, and they use 1625 for her birth and indicate that this later born daughter is the one mentioned in John Otis' will in 1657. They state that no further information on her has been found.
