Anna 'Catherina' died "after 03 January 1789". Wife of 'John' Johannes Rector. Daughter of Johannes 'John' Fischbach and Agnes Haeger Fischbach. Last name Fischbach to Fishback. Anna Catherina and her husband John Rector/Ritcher were cousins and were married about 1732. They had at least 10 children.

++John Rector married prior to 11 Mar, 1733/37 ( the date of the will of John fi8shback) his first cousin, Ann Catherine Fishback, eldest daughter of John Fishback and his wife Agnes Haeger, 1714 immigrants, and granddaughter of Philip & elizabeth (Heimbach) Fischbach and of Rev. Henry Haeger and his wife, Anna Catherine Friesenhagen. (Dr. Salmans gives March, 1731 as the date of the amrriage but do not know the source of this info.)

There is an interesting problem regarding the date of death of Catherine, wife of John Rector. The Fishback Genealogy, which is usually quite accurate, states that she was born about 1714/15 at Germanna. The birth date is probably quite correct, but the following deeds may indicate that "she was still living as late as 03 Jan 1789": (1) So far as this deed goes, the Catherine Rector involved could have been the widow of John Rector, Jr., son of John, Sr. and Catherine (Fishback) Rector, who died in the same year as his father, 1773. As we shall see, there is some reason to think that John Rector married his first cousin, Catherine, daughter of Henry Rector, Sr. In his will Henry left a bequest to his daughter, Catherine Rector, which was to go,in case of her death, to her daughter, Polly Rector, showing that Catherine had married a Rector. No other Rector seems to fit in as her husband except John Rector, Jr. who died in 1773. However, the following deeds may indicate that the Catherine Rector, widow, of 1789 was the elder Catherine, widow of John Rector, Sr. ~from the book of The Germanna Records (corrections to the book in Burgurndy).
