About Ann Reed Roberts

Ann Reed Everington Roberts Nichols Dustin Woolley

Grave Inscription: Front - Ann Everington Wife of John W. Woolley Born Dec. 18, 1827 Died Jan. 11 1910 Back - Ann E. Woolley [Roberts] - Yes, again we hope to meet thee, When deaths gloomy night has fled, Then in Heaven with joy to greet thee, Where no bitter tears are shed.

"In 1886 Ann married John Wickersham Wooley, and it appears that both partners viewed this as a marriage of "fortune." The name Ann Everington Wooley (omitting Roberts, Nichols, and Dustin) is on her gravestone. But B.H. Roberts in his own late years would strike it with a cane and vow out of his deepest reading of his mother's soul to change it back to the original name - Roberts." (Defender of the Faith: The B.H. Roberts Story - Truman G. Madsen, pg. 11)

This being the case, I have included all of the married names in the biography, but the main name is shown as Roberts, as per the family's desires.
