Anna (54), known as Ansie, her husband, Jozua Francois Steyn (Joos) (61), and mother, Anna Louisa Louw (86), were murdered on the family's Farm Dip, near Komatipoort in the Northern Transvaal, (Mpumalanga) on 31st March 1991. Ansie was abducted and killed. Joos and Anna were shot dead.
