"MRS J G WAGNER PASSED AWAY LATE LAST EVENING - She Had Been Ill for More Than Year and End Not Unexpected - Mrs Anna C Wagner, wife of J G Wagner, for more than a quarter of a century a resident of Titusville, passed away at 9:30 o'clock last evening at the family residence, 338 West Spring street, following an illness of more than a year, due to the infirmities of advancing years. For several days she had been failing quite rapidly and the end came peacefully at the hour stated. The deceased was born in Wurtemburg, Germany, on Feb 29, 1844, and came to America with her parents, Godfrey and Anna Bodamer, when she was 9 years of age. The family located in Buffalo, NY, where she grew to womanhood, and on Nov 1, 1866, she was united in marriage with Mr Wagner, who survives her with the following children: Mrs Geoge Kuntz and Mrs Robert H Johnson of Portland, Ore, Charles F Wagner of Los Angeles, Cal, Mrs Joseph G Olmstead of Butler and Fred Wagner of this city. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and the following brothers: Godfrey, John and Frederick Bodamer, all of Titusville, and Charles Bodamer of Warren, O. Mr and Mrs Wagner have been residents of Titusville for twenty-eight years and the deceased was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was a devout member of St Paul's Reformed church and always attended the services when she was able to do so. For many years she was secretary of the Ladies' Aid society. Arrangements for the funeral will be announced later." (Titusville Herald, Sept 29, 1921, p.5)

"The funeral of Mrs J G Wagner will be conducted from the family home, 338 West Spring street, at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Rev J H Rettig, pastor of St Paul's Reformed church, officiating, and the interment will be made in Woodlawn cemetery." (Titusville Herald, Sept 30, 1921, p.5)
