Obiturary by her son Rev. Israel... " Moorefield Ohio, August 1843 Mrs. Ann Archbold wife of James Archbold, of Ireland, and mother of twelve Children, eight of whom (to wit) John Fletcher, James Kennedy, Samuel, Mary Bettie, Ann, Edward, Israel, and Noah, lived to man and woman's estate, died the 25th of July 1843 in the 75th year of her age. During her stay on earth she passed through many and severe afflictions. She lived to bury her husband and seven of her twelve children. She was remarkable for her patience and humility; had an excellent memory and was very fond of good books and good company. SHe was almost excessively fond of going to religious meetings, sometimes attanding night and day when her age and infirmities seem to forbid....... She sweetly feel asleep in Christ while we were singing and praying around her bed. Part of the lines which we sung while she was dying were: Bright angels are from glory come, THey're round my bed, they're in my room, They wait to waft my spirit home, All is well: All is well.

These words were carved in her tombstone: "I shall be satisfied when I awake in Thy likeness."
