About Anne Arnold
There have never been any sources presented to support claims that the wife of Benjamin (Phillip, no source) Arnold's name was Ann or Anneke Jans or Jannekan Bogardus. This is misinformation that has been widely published and republished without backing, with names and dates changing to force her to fit in with the limited knowns of this southern Virginia line of Arnolds even though she apparently lived her entire life in New York. It is the position of the The Anneke Jans and Everardus Bogardus Descendants Association that this claim is false. It was also the equally the position of the now disbanded Arnold Family Association of the South that is was false. Yes, Benjamin Arnold from Virginia had a wife named Ann. But Cornelius Bogardus' daughter was from New York and married Jacob Wynkoop.

Ann was born in 1672. She parents and maiden name are unknown.
She had married Benjamin Arnold by 1690. They were the parents of Rachel, Jane, Anna, and Benjamin. Those have been identified in records. They were likely others.
She was still having children around 1720.
