About Anne Goode
Parents unidentified. Anne, wife of John Goode (not Goad), was not the daughter of Richard Bennett, Sr. (not the Governor); not the daughter of Richard Bennett, II; and not the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Richard Bennett, 1st Protectorate Governor of Virginia. Don’t confuse her with Anne Codd
Ann Bennett was born say 1644 in Holland or England, and died NOV 1708 in Virginia. She married John Goode on 1664 in Henrico County, Virginia. Ann Bennett was not mentioned in her husband John's will dated 29 Nov 1708, so likely died sometime before it was written.
John Goode's second wife was probably born in England, fled to Holland due to religious persecution, and immigrated to Virginia from Holland.
Goode's four youngest children were all minors in 1708 when he wrote his will, thus born after 1687. There is no evidence he married three times, so Anne Bennett is the most likely parent.
