About Anne Gurgaynie

Anne Bright was born Abt 1575, and died 1619. She was the daughter of John Bright and Alice Walcott. (Reliable source?)

She married Edward Gurgaynie. He was born Abt 1575 in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire County, England, and died Bef 1619.

The will of Anne Gurgaynie dated 1619, widow of Edward GURGANEY, bequeathed land to Thomas HARRIS

From The book, "Harris - A genealogical Family History by J. Ralph Dickey and Elizabeth (Dickey) Trower (1980)

Edward Gurganey: Came to Virginia in the Phoenix in 1608. 1617 granted 400 acres granted to Edward Gurganey by order of Court 1 Oct 1617 and bequeathed by Anne Gurganey widow of sd Gurganey, to Thos. Harris as by her last will dated 11 Feb 1619/1920, Henrico County, Virginia (Cavaliers & Pioneers Vol.I, Baltimore 1962, p.60). Edward, Gent (Southside, VA, Families by John Bennet Boddie 1946, pp 128-135).

The willing of land from Ann BRIGHT Gurgaynie mostly proves the relationship. The marriage of Anne BRIGHT to OSBORNE never happened.

Joane Bright may have been the wife of Thomas Osborne, not sister Anne

Adria Gurgaynie also found as (Virgany) arrived on the Marmaduke in 1621 she brought a 7 year old "kinswoman" with her named Ann  Woodlief /Woodlase.
