Anne (Moon) Stone Lynch was the daughter of Gideon Moon (ca 1720/40-1790)& Mary Hudson Moon from Lunenburg, VA. She married first: Ashwell Stone b. ca 1750 - ca 1781 in VA. She had the following children with him:

1)Dicey 2) Bannister, b. 13 Aug 1777, Virginia; d. 15 Jun 1844, Greenville District, South Carolina. 3) Mary, b. Abt. 1780; m.unk. Hering 4)Elizabeth, b.& d. ca 1781

She then married Captain William Lynch, Soldier, American Revolution and had the following children:

1)William, d. Bef. 1841; m. Nancy Morgan; d. Madisonville, Lumpkin County, Georgia. 2) Lucinda 3) Nancy, d. Aft. 1820, Pendelton District, South Carolina. 4) Levina, d. Bef. 1838; m. unkn. Chatmon/Chapman 5) Harriet, d. Bef. 1838; m.unkn. Gibson 6)John Moon Lynch, d. 1824, Huntsville, Alabama. 7) Mary Ann b. 18 Jan 1788, Lynchburg, Virginia; d. 27 Feb 1878, Macon, Mississippi. 8) Nathaniel SR., b. 28 Nov 1790, Pittsylvania County, Virginia; d. 20 Feb 1861, Pickens County,South Carolina. _______________________ She is buried next to her son, Bannister Stone & his wife, Elizabeth Kilgore Stone. _______________________ Source: Greenville Mountaineer Date: 19 August 1842

Departed this life on the 6th inst. , Mrs. Ann Lynch, in the 89th year of her age, having been an orderly member of the Baptist Church for the last fifty-three years was the widow of the late Capt. Wm. Lynch of Pickens District, S.C. , and formerly a resident of Pittsylvania County, VA. She has left numerous friends and relatives to mourn her loss.
