In 1881 census, living with family at 47 Keith Street, Stornoway. In 1891, she
had moved with family to 80 Keith Street. She was a Gaelic/English speaker.
At one stage, she ran a general shop in a room in 18 Scotland Street. She
didn't know anything about running a shop, and only did it to stop Emily, her
sister in law, running it.
Once, she fell and broke her hip. Grants the removers, who were based on
Scotland Street at the time, lifted her into the back of one of their vans &
took her up to hospital.
