SLATER--Anne, of Little Neck, NY, on September 5, 2009 at 89 after a short illness. She left us to be with Joe, her husband of 66 years who died in 2007. Loving and devoted mother of Sydell Smith and Lois Brodsky, their husbands Ira and Bill, grandchildren Matthew Smith and Lisa, Allison Kanders and Warren, Jennifer Lipschultz and Marc and Jason Brodsky and great- grandchildren Alex, William, Lauren, Oliver, Andrew, Catherine Jack and Charles, her presence, courage, kindness and love for her family are her legacy. She will live in our hearts forever. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
