About Anne Dominique Toussaint
Anne-Dominique Toussaint grew up in Paris , where her parents settled. She studied history before turning to cinema. For two years, she was the assistant to producer-director Ariel Zeitoun . In 1989, she founded the production company Les Films des Tournelles, headquartered in Paris , as well as a second structure, Les Films de l'Étang, in Brussels . Her first project is the film adaptation of the novel Monsieur , produced by her brother Jean-Philippe Toussaint.
Toussaint founded the company Les Films de Beyrouth in 2005 and produced Caramel by Lebanese director Nadine Labaki. Subsequently, she notably produced The French Kissers by Riad Sattouf , which won the 2010 César Award for Best First Feature Film. The director and producer receive the trophy duo revelation during 17 th Trophy French Film.
Jean-Philippe Toussaint , Anne-Dominique's brother, is a filmmaker and writer. Their father Yvon Toussaint is a journalist and writer. Their mother Monique is the founder of the Chapter XII bookseller located in Ixelles.
