The Waller and Joscelyn families have an extended family history in Newport, Tipperary. Anne was a Jocelyn with a fascinating documented history.

A grandson (Hardress) became Lord Bloomfield, a friend of King George IV, governor of Jamaica and Ambassador to the court of Sweden. (However when Charlotte his daughter, married John Bloomfield, a soldier and a poor man, Samuel and Anne cut her off and she struggled in poverty. Charlotte was also excluded from seeing her siblings.) [1]

  1. Details of Lord Bloomfield's life is available online in his memoir: Memoir of Benjamin, Lord Bloomfield, G.C.B., G.C.H, Vol I and II, edited by Georgiana, Lady Bloomfield (1884). There is a very short overview of Bloomfield's early life, his parent's marriage, which was not approved, and a few family stories told as vignettes. Most of the memoirs are posthumous compilations of writing in diaries and letters by Bloomfield after he was appointed as Minister to Sweden.
