About Anthony Bunting, Quaker

From Besse's Sufferings of the People called Quakers:

On Jan 18th 1665 Anthony Bunting, John Cross, and Anthony Woodward were committed to prison for six months on account of being present at a Friends Meeting.

Again in 1670 goods to the value of 11 pounds were taken from Anthony Bunting, 20 pounds from Anthony Woodward, 12 pounds from Thomas Fowkes, 55 pounds , 13 shillings from William Storrs and 10 shillings from Nathaniel Bingham for frequenting a religious assembly at the house of Anthony Bunting, usually hele there. So frequent were the fines that many Friends became impoversihed. Anthony Bunting doubtless divided his estate before his death for no account of his will or the administration of his estate has been found.
