Passenger List At age 23, Anthony Gerchman, single, farm laborer, last resided Leskovec, Slovenia, boarded SS Kohn, departed Bremen, Germany, 22 January 1903, arrived Baltimore, Maryland, 9 February 1903. He could read and write, paid his own fare and had twenty dollars in hand. His final destination to his brother J. Gerchman, Forest City, PA.

Naturalization Anthony Gerchman delcared his intention to become a US citizen, in the MIddle District Circuit Court, Scranton, Lackawanna Co., PA, 7 March 1910. Anthony Gerchman filed his Petttion for Naturalizatio, in the MIddle District Circuit Court, Scranton, Lackawanna Co., PA, 16 December 1913. Anthony Gerchman as well as his brothers John and Joseph Gercman became U.S. citizens in the MIddle District Circuit Court, Scranton, Lackawanna Co., PA, 27 March 1914.

Family Note: Reported by Bridget Belford In December 2002 Bridget Gerchman Belford reported that Anthony Gerchman as well as his brother Joseph Gerchman were borad-shoulder, tall and a little bit on the heavy side. He worked in the coal mines around Forest CIty, PA until the mines closed down. He then moved to Cleveland, Ohio.

Certificate of Death: Anthony Gerchman, age 59, died from coal miner's pneumonia and chronic pulmonary tuberculosis, 7 January 1938, at 8:50 PM, Euclid, Cuahoga Co., OH. Interment St Paul's Cemetery, Euclid, OH, 11 January 1938.
