Event: Witness 1665 Old Rappahannock Co., Va.
Anthony appears in County in 1665 and serves an apprenticeship where he is a resident on the north side of the Rappahannock River. In 1669 he was bound to Mrs. Sarha Walker, the widow of Lt. Col. John Walker to serve an apprenticeship of seven years. On June 18, 1677, he purchased land in Old Rappahannock from George. Hardwick. By 1669 he had acquired land and with the consent of his wife Elizabeth , sold 137.5 acres to John Riley of Westmoreland Co, Va. (Deed Book 7, p. 237) On May 7, 1679 he and Elizabeth witnessed a will. In 1685, he sold 275 acres to Thomas Lloyd. His death occured prior to Sept 1690, when a cattle mark was recorded on behalf of his son Charles. Anthony has children listed in North Farnham Parish Register. It is suggested he came from Bristol, England. IGI records suggest an Anthony & Charles Morgan, from Wales, who were relatives of Phillip Morgan of Glamorgan, Wales. Charles may have been the father of Anthony. Research notes of Barron Flanary, Terrence Mason, Paul Sarrett Jr., N. Dale Morgan
