Anthony Sprague was a selectman in Attleboro for many years. He was the first town clerk of Attleboro, MA. He and wife, Mary, conveyed land to his uncle, William Sprague of Hingham, November 19, 1709 (Providence Deeds, Vol 2, p149). His will dated January 13, 1731, names son Anthony, and daughters Mary, Elizabeth Whipple, Sarah Whitman, Lydia, Marcy Jenckes, and Phoebe (Bristol Co. Probate, Vol 7 PP 189-191)

On May 1729 Anthony Sprague was appointed administrator of the estate of his father Anthony Sprague of Attleboro. Inventory was dated May 14, 1729. On May 25, 1730 Richard Harris & John Whitman of Providence who married two of the daughters of Anthony Sprague of Attleboro petitioned for a division of his estate. The division given Jan 13, 1731 by order names children Anthony Sprague Sarah Whitman, Elesabeth Whiple, Mary whiple, Pheba Sprague, Lydiah Harris & Mercy Jenckes.

On 1 Aug 1689 when Anthony was 25, he married Mary Tilden (5269) , daughter of Thomas Tilden (2532) (ca 1618-Feb 1 1704/5) & Mary Holmes (ca 1644-aft 21 May 1705), in Marshfield, MA. Born on 14 Feb 1666 in Marshfield, MA. Mary died bef 13 Jan 1731.
