In 1942 Anton Uran was indicted before the Reichskriegsgericht in Berlin because of " defensive force decomposition " . The court sentenced him to death and to withdrawing his civil rights of honor at his trial on January 22, 1943, . On February 23, 1943, the sentence was enforced in the Brandenburg Penitentiary. Anton Uran died at the scaffold . Rehabilitation Anton Uran's name on memorial at the cemetery Annabichl, Klagenfurt, 2015. On June 3, 1997, 52 years after the unconditional surrender of the Wehrmacht and 54 years after his execution, this judgment was overturned by the Vienna Regional Court on application by his brother Erasmus. This was an acquittal and meant the full moral and legal justification of his attitude.
