Not everyone can claim to be an excellent teacher like Dr. Antonio G. Sison, fourth dean of the UPCM. Dr. AG Sison personally invited trainors and consultants to join him in the regular and grand rounds of the medical wards. He strived to develop in each one the power of critical thinking and made himself available for consultation. Realizing that not everyone was as good an educator as Dr. AG Sison, and that our previous medical curriculum did not equip us to be good teachers, the Medical Education Unit was established in 1993 primarily to develop the faculty members’ expertise in teaching and evaluation. Hopefully this has improved the teaching of medicine in the classroom, laboratory, community and at bedside. (UPCM Centennial Book, Siyento Heritage p14 and http://www.pinoyexchange.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-275311-p-3....)
He was a learned and humane scholar of medicine. He was a compleat physician and a perfect gentleman. (Dr Saturnino Ador Dionisio, http://mind.pinoy.md/?p=96)
