Archibald was born in Kentucky the son of Michael Risner and Sarah Howard. He died in Magoffin County Kentucky between 1900 and 1910. On March 25, 1840 in Kentucky he married Nancy J. Howard the daughter of Thomas Howard and Francis Jackson. Their children are; Andrew Trumbo Risner, Lorinda (Risner) Montgomery-my great great grandmother, Reubin Risner, William Risner, Dial Risner and Conway Risner.
