It has been claimed that Archibald Wilson, here treated, is the son of Sir John Wilson, knight, burgess of Fife, and his wife Margaret Baxter Harvie but this proposition is not supported by verifiable evidence. Family Search It is further claimed that he was born in Glasgow, but evidence for this claim is wanting. He is also said to have died on 23 April 1550. This suggests that he been confused with Archibald Wilson who died before this date, although they are not the same person
