Archie Edmond was the son of Archie and Mary Graham Deese. He married Sallie Brooks on Nov. 25, 1913 in Pembroke, NC.
The following was taken for the Aug. 29, 1945 ediiton of THE ROBESONIAN:
Edmond Deese, 54, well know farmer of Pembroke died at his home Aug. 14, after a lingering illness of two and a half years.
Funeral services were conducted from the Berea Baptist church Thursday by Rev. L. W. Jacobs, assisted by the Rev. Underwood of the Berea Baptist church. Interment was in the Deese cemetery.
Mr. Deese was born in Robeson county January 16, 1891, son of the late Archie and Mrs. Mary Graham Deese.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sallie Jane Brooks Deese, and the following children: Mrs. Marshall Cloninger of Dallas, Mrs. Charles E. Miller of Dallas, Mrs. James W. Morgan of Dallas, Mrs. Grover Oxendine of Pembroke, Raymond, Adelaide, Christine, Maudie, Isa Perkins, Johnnie and Pernell, all of home; his mother, Mrs. Mary Deese of Pembroke and five sisters, four brothers, and seven grandchildren.
