Archie was the son of Israel and Elizabeth Deese Rogers. He married Polly Jones.

The following was taken from the Sep. 21, 1949 edition of THE ROBESONIAN:

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Harpers Ferry church for Archie Rogers, 67, who died Sunday at 7:30 a.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Godwin Brooks on Maxton, R. 3. Rev. Lonnie Jacobs and Rev. Tommy Swett are the officiating ministers. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Brooks; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Leola Spaulding of New York, and two brothers, French and Silas Rogers of Rowland, R. 1.
