Archie Sant, 68, Pocatello, died Saturday in the Bannock Memorial Hospital, on Mar. 3, 1973, following an illness. He was born Jan. 18, 1905 at Cleveland, Idaho, to Albert and Leona Townley Sant. He attended school at Grace, Logan and in Clifton where Harold B. Lee was his teacher. On June 26, 1927, he married Evelyn Harris in the LDS Temple in Logan and they moved to Pocatello in 1931. For 38 years, Mr. Sant was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad Company. He retired three years ago. He was a high priest in the Fifth LDS ward and had served as a member of the bishopric. He was a ward and stake Sunday School superintendent and teacher. He had completed an LDS mission in the Western States. He enjoyed traveling, flowers and yard work. Survivors include his widow, a son, LaMonte (Bud) Sant of Bountiful, Ut; two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Donna Lee) Prescott of Pocatello and Mrs. Klea Darwin of Idaho Falls, 19 grandchildren; a brother, Dell of Grace, two sisters, Mrs. Nels (Carman) Roholt of Grace and Mrs. Gary (Dora) Montgomery of Hagerman. Funeral services were conducted in Pocatell with a burial in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
