   BIOGRAPHY

   1870 Trigg Co.Census lists her name as Arlinia, 1880 Cooke Co.TX

   census and Oklahoma census lists her name as Lena. 1900 Chickasaw

   Nation census shows them living in the Berwyn area, present day Gene

   Autry, Baum (also known as Nickel Hill) area of Carter Co Ok. also

   shows neither she nor Dabney could read or write however I find this

   difficult to believe, given the fact that Dabney was a preacher

   holding week long meetings, I believe he had to be able to read. They

   were in the 1910 Coal Co Ok census, but absent in the 1920 census,

   however one of the daughters Bulah was shown (1920)living with the

   family of son Edgar. According to Orie Edwards, they were living in

   Ardmore in 1940. however Dabney was buried in Jay Ok.in 1946 therfore

   I am not sure when they settled in Jay OK. 1900 census record shows

   mother of 6, 4 living. Lena Cunningham obituary from the Delaware

   County Journal Lena Cunningham was born in Cadiz Kentucky May 29, 1868

   and departed this life March 13,1958 at 2:20 O'Clock AM at the age of

   89 years, 9 months and 12 days. When seven years of age her parents

   left Kentucky and settled near Gainesville Texas. At the age of 16 she

   was converted and joined the Missionary Baptist Church in Gainesville,

   Texas. January 15, 1887 She was united in marriage to D.C. Cunningham

   in Thackerville Indian Territory and settled near Ardmore Oklahoma. To

   this union nine children were born, 3 girls and 6 boys. Her husband

   and four children preceded her in death, leaving to mourn her passing

   are 2 daughters and 3 sons. Beulah McCown, Jay Oklahoma, Dora

   Aimonette, Taconite Minnesota, Edgar Cunningham, San Diego Calif. Amos

   Cunningham Sacramento California, and Dave Cunningham of the home. 24

   grandchildren, and 42 great grandchildren and 8 great great

   grandchildren, other relatives and many friends,Grandma Cunningham as

   she was known to every one, to each that knew her she was an

   inspiration. She was a devout mother and Christian and she was a

   member of the First Baptist Church of Jay, having served her Lord and

   God some 74 years. It is so true, we shall miss her, her kindly smile

   and her plea that we get right with the Lord and serve Him. Our loss

   is Heaven's gain. Services were in the First Baptist Church in Jay,

   Rev. Ward Allen and Rev. Jay Murphy officiating. Burial was in the

   Duffield Cemetery, Worley funeral Home of Grove was in charge.
