Arlettie Riggs

COVE CITY -- Arlettie Riggs, 66, of 2050 Asbury Road died May 5 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7 at the church with the Rev. Jimmy Uhl and the Rev. Michael Register officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Riggs was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille Jarvis and Sudie Bryan.

She is survived by her husband, H.B. Riggs; mother-in-law, Cherial Riggs; five sons, Linwood Bell Ipock and his wife, Mary, Donald Ipock and his wife, Lorie, Larry Ipock and his wife, Susan, Bruce J. Ipock and his wife, Darlene, and Michael Ipock; three daughters, Patsy Newell and her husband, Bill, Joanna Fornes and her husband, Kenneth, and Teresa Hagan and her husband, Leonard; one brother, Charlie Hart; two sisters, Sara Faye Brickhouse and Daphne Hart; and grandchildren, Misty and Dean Taylor, Jennifer Ipock, Cassie Ipock, Jamie Ipock, Paula Fornes, Heather Ipock, Jessica Newell, Melissa Fornes, Chad Ipock, Charlie Newell, Chris Hagan, Brittany Hagan, and Morgan Ipock. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Cotten Funeral Home in New Bern. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, Asbury Road, Cove City, N.C. 28523. (Pd. Obit)
