Arthur Samuel Busenbark

ARTHUR S. BUSENBARK, 77, of South Whitley, died at 2:30 a.m., Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne where he had been a patient since March 16th.

He was born November 1, 1929 in Crawfordsville, Indiana a son of Raymond and Carrie (Waldon) Busenbark. His formative years were spent in Crawfordsville and he completed his education at the Crawfordsville High School.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during the Korean War receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1951.

On October 26, 1951 he was united in marriage to Beverly R. Cartwright. They made their home in Crawfordsville then Veedersburg for 10 years. In 1962 they moved to South Whitley. Mrs. Busenbark died November 19, 1990.

Mr. Busenbark was employed by RR Donnelly in Crawfordsville and then Johnson Brothers Signs in South Whitley. He retired from Monarch Food, Fort Wayne, in 1993 with 25 years of service.

He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Crawfordsville, a 50 year member of American Legion Post 288 in Veedersburg and Am Vets 291 in South Whitley.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Larry (Carolee) Busenbark of Sidney and Steve (Mary) Busenbark of Coatesville, IN; two daughters, Kim (Kenneth) Reese of South Whitley and Kelli Busenbark of Warsaw; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, Harold and Chris Busenbark both of Crawfordsville; a sister Pat Priebe of Crawfordsville and a special friend, Donna Paulson of Fort Wayne.

The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 21st and 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 22nd at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. There will be a private family burial.
