- From research of David L Sadler: News Clipping Artur J Butler DiedNov 29 1949--Arthur J Butler, Retired Oneida Ltd, Worker, Dies--Arthur J Butler, Oneida area resident almost all his life died early this morning at his home at 75 Prospect St. He was 68 yrs old & had been failing in health for past 2 yrs. He b Oct 28 1881, son of Harvey & Almira Bettis Butler in Morrisville. In his early 20's he went to work for Oneida Community Trap Co & later switched to Community's silver plant. Altogether when Butler retired 2 yrs ago he had worked 43 yrs for Oneida Ltd. Wife Florence Lindsley Butler, d 1940. Surviving are son Walter at home; 2 sis Mrs Arthur Kinney, 460 E Walnut St, & Mrs Harry Chappell, Sconondoa & several neices & nephews. Funeral svc will be Thurs at 2pm from his late home, Rev James J Morley officiating. Burial will be in Oneida Castle Cem. Friends may call Wed afternoon & evening. Arrangements are in chg of Munroe Funeral Home.
